چکیده
Modeling a pneumatic tire with strong change in shape causes the problem of choosing an adequate model for rubber-cord plies. Generally, classical method asymptotic homogenization is not suitable due to physical and geometrical nonlinearity strain up 15 %. The known models used simulation entire as well plies are analyzed. A choice made favor modeling using stress anisotropic potential, which function tensor invariants. relationship such constitutive law quasi-linear equation terms differentials indicated. convenience these two types equations numerical implementation also given. modification effective properties definition inhomogeneous layer explained. difference from standard moduli clarified. arrangement cords supposed be approximately periodic all equivalent fiber. Two described under assumption. These orthotropic material transversely isotropic material. Computational experiments, make it possible determine parameters potentials, pointed out. Real tests sample rubber ply slow quasi-static loading were conducted. Significant hysteresis was detected. It shown that additive combining hyper elastic Maxwell viscoelastic provides good accuracy dependence on rate. procedure developed calculate solution deformation described. implemented home-made computer code. example That so-called breaking test, achieved applied to.

Modeling of human calvarium under static loading
There are many papers on head modeling in literature [1]. Generally, the topic of most of them is designing and modeling devices for head (especially brain) protection, e.g. helmets. On the other side, most papers are about modeling of whole part of top body (a torso and a head). The main aim of these researches is simulation of the backbone behavior under external load applied to the head. The...
متن کاملModeling of Macroscopic Response of Phase Transforming Materials under Quasi-Static Loading
Abstract. Based on a continuum model of solid-solid phase transformations, the macroscopic response of a bar of a thermoelastic phase transforming material loaded quasistatically is investigated. A critical loading rate is identified for the evolution of a single phase boundary in the bar during an isothermal process. It is shown that, when the loading rate is larger than this critical loading ...
متن کاملcontributing factors to the mechanical strength of cumin seed under quasi-static loading
the mechanical strength of cumin seed and the effects of moisture content, seed size, speed and direction of loading on the force and energy required to fracture cumin seed were investigated. the results showed that moisture and loading direction were significant at the 1% level on the force and energy required to fracture cumin seed. the effects of seed size on force and loading speed on energ...
متن کاملBrazilian Test for Tensile Failure of Anisotropic Shale under Different Strain Rates at Quasi-static Loading
Shale formations show obvious anisotropic characteristics in their mechanical properties due to pronounced bedding planes and natural fractures. This anisotropic behavior generally creates complex fracturing networks and is crucial to gas shale stimulation. Although much research has been done to study the anisotropic compression behaviors of shale with static and quasi-static strain rates, the...
متن کاملBonding and Anchoring Characterization between Frp Sheets, Concrete, and Viscoelastic Layers under Static and Dynamic Loading
An innovative concept for normalizing the multiple seismic performance objectives of retrofitted structures was recently introduced by the authors. Referred to as a damping-enhanced strengthening, this integrated damping and strengthening strategy included the bonding component between FRP sheets and viscoelastic layers as well as the anchoring component of FRP sheets into concrete. Although an...
